As every year, I wake up 1st of January with a bit of a hang-over. Not just from the amount of alcohol I consumed the previous night - although we had a big tasting round with my wife & our friends Arpi & Nünü from Tomcsanyi Birtok - but it felt different this time.

I had this hangover from a really long and tiring year - starting a company, raising 2 kids, trying to keep a work-wife-life balance (a new term I learned recently), illness in the family, war, uncertainty, economic distress and so much more. If I look back, it was a really successful year with so much joy and new experiences, but definitely not an easy one!

After the hangover came the quiet - we’re lucky enough that my wife & I have awesome parents that love to take care of our kids and so we could code 2 days away. It was beautiful, relaxing and we finnaly had the chance to talk - review the year that has passed soo fast I couldn’t even grasp it and plan the year ahead. And all this in the beautiful scenery of Szekszàrd

Out of this came four goals I want to accomplish this year personally and professionally:
Successfully finish dry January (& replace drinking with sports in the process)
Start cooking again (Every Friday night will be reserved for cooking with friends & family)
Be more calm & relaxed (trust in myself & that helping others will be rewarding)
Get ready for Budapest (while keeping the main base in Switzerland)

All of these goals are achievable and it’s not too much - let’s see how I’m doing in a few months.
